Drop point tanto bushy part 2

I've just completed it this morning , I hope you like it

The handle is 'panga panga ' a close relative of 'wenge' . I got a nice piece from Isca Woodcraft's , unfortunately my camera skills don't do it justice

Drop point tanto bushy

I started to play with a new design yesterday . It is a drop point bushcrafter with a tanto point. I haven't seen anything like it , so I have no idea weather it's usable knife shape
 the steel I'm using is 4mm 01 , about 30mm wide
the bevels are the normal 22 degree scandi grind found on most bushy blades
I hand sanded the flats to 360 grit before heat treatment . The blade is tempering in the oven at the moment .
I hope to get some scales on this by the weekend

2 finger neck knife part 2

I got round to putting a handle on this little one this week. I used some more home made 'micarta' again . This time the 'micarta' was a mixture of brown cotton and hessian

I made up a little KYDEX sheath this morning and added some man knitting

overall length is 115mm
blade length      47mm
steel      3mm 01

2 finger neck knife

I made this little one up today from my last little bit of 01 . I should be getting some more next week if Cromwell's get there act together

Total length is 112mm
blade length is 45mm
I should get round to doing the heat treatment tomorrow (if all goes well)
I'm not sure what I'm going to use for handle scales yet

Another nessmuk part 2

Just finished this one , using the GITD 'micarta' on the 3mm 01 nessi blade .
the scales are held on with epoxy and 4 mm brass pins

overall length is about 220mm

the blade is 105mm long with a 22 degree bevel and a micro bevel

orange satin liners . I was hoping the orange GITD powder would show up a bit better giving the impression that the liners were shining through the hessian , but it doesn't really glow for very long .
I will try and get a photo later .
